Charming old Cameo brooch, which can also be worn as a pendant, engraved on a shell, representing an elegant Spanish woman wearing a mantilla fixed with a comb.
The cameo is surrounded by small pearls and is mounted on 800/1000 silver (800 hallmark).
Small safety clasp. Period: early 20th century.
Inside the shell is an engraved inscription which appears to be "Dona Isabel" (?)
The brooch is in good condition (note: some small pearls are a little worn, which does not detract from the beauty of this jewel).
