A vintage charm emanates from this magnificent celluloid purse clasp, in marbled beige and black tones reminiscent of tortoiseshell. Manufactured between 1935 and 1950, it was intended to adorn the bags of elegant ladies: in velvet, crochet, or beads, depending on the fashion of the moment.
Equipped with a central clip closure system and small sewing holes, it allowed the purse to be securely attached to the frame. The slightly curved geometric shape is typical of the late Art Deco / early 1950s style.
