Very beautiful and rare Victorian double-ended scent bottle (England, circa 1880-1890) made of 10-faceted ruby red cut crystal. It has two ends and two vermeil caps (no visible hallmark but tested) chased with flowers and foliage. These are each operated by a small hinge and reveal two small ground glass stoppers.
The bottle is therefore complete with its 2 small stoppers in excellent condition, which is not common.
It is in good overall condition (to note: some small scratches from use, a micro-chip on one of the edges (see photo), slight wear of the gold on the silver and thinning of the stoppers (see photos), which is completely normal given its age...).
A similar bottle was sold at Drouot in Paris.
This is a very beautiful object that will delight collectors of perfume bottles or curiosities and will look splendid in a display cabinet!
