Superb fine porcelain vase published in 1980 by Franklin Porcelain, decorated after an original watercolor by the famous British ornithological painter Basil Ede, and titled "The Meadowland Bird Vase".
Its refined decoration depicts two swallows swirling among irises and violets, with remarkable fineness of detail. The illustrations were reproduced by high-quality transfer, then hand-enhanced and outlined with an elegant gold fillet manually applied to the neck.
The artist's signature appears both in the decoration and under the base, attesting to the authenticity of the limited edition model.
