Superb 5-light gilded brass church candelabra, adorned with refined vine scroll and grape cluster decorations, Christian symbols of the Eucharist.
It dates from the late 19th century (circa 1870-1890).
Its elegant five-branched structure rests on a twisted stem and a weighted circular base. The twisted arms and openwork crown-shaped bobeches recall the Neo-Gothic style, very popular in religious buildings in the second half of the 19th century.
Accompanied by its small original brass snuffer, this set testifies to the fervor and care given to liturgical furniture. It was probably intended to adorn the altar, surrounding the tabernacle with its lights.
