Very beautiful mourning pendant, representing a female portrait in relief of a young woman in profile in the style of cameos. It is pressed molded glass surrounded by silver and gold metal finely chiseled with small pearls, and set with 10 small stones cut in pink glass.
English work, dating from the end of the 19th century. The beveled glass interior opens to slip in a lock of hair or the portrait of your loved one...
It is in good general condition, the silvering is a little used which reveals the gilding of the brass and reinforces its charm. Note: a mini-chip in the glass of the small interior door (see photo).
This is a rare object, which is over 100 years old and which is sought after by collectors!
