Charming small soliflore vase in enameled ceramic in a deep speckled blue, enhanced with an elegant beaded silver-plated metal mounting at the neck and foot.
Its sober and slender shape, associated with this very bright granite decoration, evokes the decorative productions of the interwar period. The beaded mounting, typical of toilet articles and small decorative accessories of the 1920s-1930s, gives it a refined touch. This is a very typical finish of decorative Art Deco.
The underside bears a mark MP accompanied by a trace of "Sèvres", which suggests a Central European production (probably Bohemia / Czechoslovakia) inspired by the famous French manufacture. These workshops then produced small decorative pieces intended for export, often mounted in silver-plated metal.
Due to its delicate dimensions, this vase was probably intended to adorn a dressing table or a washstand, holding a small flower or a delicate sprig.
