Elegant Art Deco rotating cake stand, probably dating from the 1930s-1940s, made of enameled ceramic set in a silver-plated metal mount.
Its decoration depicts a bouquet of three pink tulips, accompanied by green foliage punctuated with small yellow touches. The flowers stand out against a central ivory medallion, itself surrounded by a delicate slightly bluish grey background.
More sober than the sky-blue variant, this soft hue particularly enhances the pink shades of the tulips and gives the whole a lot of elegance.
The circular silver-plated metal mount is adorned with three wavy handles. Underneath the platter is the mechanism that allows it to rotate, characteristic of these old serving dishes intended for presenting cakes and pastries.
The ceramic is in good general condition and shows fine age-related crazing of the enamel, along with some small traces of time. The silver-plated metal mount also shows an old patina and signs of use.
