This vintage View-Master viewer by Sawyer's Portland dates from 1940-1949. It is made of Bakelite and was manufactured in the USA. It is a device for viewing slides (photos) on discs, animated by a small crank that allows the photos to be advanced one after another. They are viewed through the eyepieces (see photo).
Eight rolls (discs) of color photos are also included: No. 81 Niagara Falls, No. 157 NY City, No. 164 Cypress Gardens Florida, No. 286 Indian Tribal Ceremonial New Mexico, No. 380 Montreal, No. 383 Quebec City, No. 1601 Rome I, No. 1606 Venice.
Everything works perfectly and is in good condition.
This item belonged to my Dad and I always knew it packed in this red box.
