Elegant vintage cream jar signed Guerlain Paris, in deep cobalt blue glass with an engraved aluminum lid ("Guerlain France" in cursive script).
The style of the jar, the use of blue glass, and the typography are consistent with the Art Deco and post-war periods.
This is a jar for day cream, night cream, or cosmetic balm (Guerlain produced several facial skincare products from the 1930s onwards, in addition to their perfumes).
This format was sold in high-end perfumeries, or in Guerlain counters in department stores.
This type of jar was sometimes offered in a refillable version (the customer would only repurchase the cream and reuse the container).
Dimensions: height 6 cm, diameter 5.5 cm, weight 137 g.
Note: a small original bubble on the inner rim of the jar.
A precious relic of French beauty from the 1930s to 1950s, to collect or repurpose as a small treasure box.
