Very beautiful mourning pendant, representing a relief female portrait of a young woman in profile in the style of cameos.
This moving jewel, steeped in history, takes us back to the Victorian era, when loved ones were kept close to one's heart. This oval pendant, surrounded by faceted garnet-colored glass stones, contains a delicately engraved black cameo representing a classic female profile, perhaps that of a muse or an allegory of Memory.
At the back, a small compartment opens discreetly: a lock of hair or a miniature could be slipped inside, like a tender secret nestled in the heart of a jewel.
