Magnificent sculpture by Louis Fontinelle (1886-1964) entitled the "Lady of the Greyhounds", in ivory cracked enameled ceramic, typical of Art Deco.

The “Fontinelle” signature is located at the bottom right on the terrace.
Louis Fontinelle is a French sculptor and ceramist active in the 1920s-1930s. Most of his subjects, in bronze or enameled ceramic, are inspired by animals or elegant women in the spirit of Art Deco.
The "Dame aux lévriers" is in good general condition (note: 1 original cooking crack along the rear leg of the dog which does not detract from the value of the work, as well as 1 small lack of the right ear of the 1st dog and 1 mini chip to his left ear and on the veil of the drapery on the back of the lady due to natural wear of the piece (see photos).
Dimensions: terrace 50.5 cm x 10 cm, height 34.5 cm, weight 3.449 kg.
It is a work full of charm and very decorative. A copy was sold to DROUOT in 2023.
