A delightful little set of 3 small vintage silver-plated pewter boxes by the Welsh factory Silver Scenes from the 1980s.
Edward and Maureen Story-Jones established their successful business, Silver Scenes Ltd, in 1984 in their home in the hamlet of Brooks in Montgomeryshire. The company grew rapidly and in 1989, the business moved to larger premises in the pretty village of Berriew in Montgomeryshire. This is where the entire collection is designed, crafted, and produced to the highest standards by a conscientious and skilled workforce. All pieces are cast in pewter and then silver-plated. Each box is surrounded by a related verse (source: www.abitofbritain.com/silver-scenes.htm).
These are small, romantic, and typically English items that would make a charming gift or gracefully adorn a display cabinet.
