Magnificent Art Deco bird of paradise brooch in 835/1000 silver set with small marcasites and 1 small ruby for the eye. It bears 3 hallmarks: A835 for the silver standard, a wheel (origin), and FK (?) for the silversmith. I have not been able to identify them despite extensive research. The A835 standard hallmark was used in Belgium from 1942 to 1990, but this piece was made in the 1940s.
This is a very beautiful Art Deco piece. It is very elegant and in excellent condition. The pin is made of brass for strength. It has a small safety clasp.
