This jewel is full of poetry and history… This lovely micromosaic brooch is a precious souvenir of the famous Grand Tour, the long initiatory journey undertaken by young European aristocrats across Italy.
At its center, a micromosaic of remarkable fineness depicts a bouquet of multicolored flowers: daisies, marguerites and small country florets intertwine, like an eternal floral miniature. Each tiny tessera, patiently assembled by hand, speaks of the masterful craftsmanship of Roman mosaicists of the late 19th century.
The setting, finely crafted in vermeil silver filigree (small illegible hallmark, see photo), features floral and beaded motifs, evoking the elegance of the Victorian style. Three delicate chains gracefully and refinedly outline the silhouette of the brooch.
