Charming small Belle Époque dance card, made of ivorine, adorned with an elegant openwork design in chased silver and enhanced with gilt brass mounts.
This precious feminine accessory, used to note down dances during social evenings, retains all the delicacy and refinement of the toiletry and social objects of the turn of the 20th century.
The card features a lovely cover with undulating contours, enhanced by a central rocaille silver decoration with delicate openwork. The interior still reveals its small fan-shaped leaves bearing handwritten annotations from the period, touching testimonies of forgotten past balls...
The original gilt brass ring and chain allowed the card to be worn on the finger during dance evenings.
The pencil is missing, but the whole remains in very good condition and retains much charm.
