Magnificent collection of 18 old "Horse Brasses" medallions in gilded brass for horse harnesses.

A Horse Brass is a brass plate used for the decoration of a horse's harness , especially for parade horses.

The collection includes 18 pieces, all different and in very good condition. These are very original objects from the 19th century, typically English, which can be hung on the wall to create a nice decor.

These medallions were worn by working horses belonging to breweries, corporations, railroads, private companies, trades, etc. During festive days, horse owners were proud to show them adorned with these superb ornaments in their effigy. Each medallion can be purchased individually, but if you wish to purchase them together, the price will be significantly reduced and you will receive the handbag with equestrian decoration shown in the photo as a gift.
