This pretty pair of scissors adorned with a little chicken is an egg cutter produced by Ed Wüsthof for Solingen, Germany. It bears the brand stamp and the number 58. The metal was originally gold-plated.
The hard-boiled egg is placed in the circle, and closing the scissors slices off the top, allowing you to enjoy a soft-boiled egg.
