A rare and very elegant antique pin in the shape of a sword, adorned with floral glass micro-mosaics, typical of 19th century Roman production.

The hilt of the sword is decorated with a delicate micro-mosaic depicting flowers (daisies), composed of extremely fine tesserae in soft hues (white, pink, yellow, green), highlighted by a characteristic turquoise blue border. The work is precise, harmonious, and perfectly legible despite the small surface.

The mounting is made of pomponne (a gilded copper alloy widely used in the 19th century for decorative jewelry), with a beautiful warm patina.

The pin is complete, with its safety chain and its sheath, characteristic elements of quality antique jewelry.

Features:
– Era: 19th century (circa 1860–1890)
– Origin: Italy, probably Rome
– Technique: glass micro-mosaic

– Weight: 4.42 g

Condition:

Why we love it :

  • For the delicacy of the micromosaic work.

  • For its Grand Tour spirit, elegant and poetic.
