An alcoholmeter is a glass measuring instrument used to determine the amount of alcohol in a solution, based on its density. Since alcohol is less dense than water, the lower the density, the higher the alcohol content. Like a hydrometer, it consists of a graduated tube, weighted at the bottom with mercury.
The tube is in very good condition, as is the box.
