Magnificent Napoleon III graphoscope in blackened wood, engraved with foliage and a bouquet on top, dating from the 19th century (circa 1850).
The interior is made of caramel wood. A sliding plate allows you to move the photo forwards or backwards. An interior stand allows you to raise or lower the magnifying glass.
This is a folding device used to view photographs, equipped with a monocle. It has a brass clasp on each side and consists of 3 levels with 2 positions for viewing photographs through the magnifying glass. It is one of the first models of its kind.
It is in very good condition (note: some small scratches and signs of use).
