Lovely snuff box or rosary box made of cowrie shell with a silver-plated metal rim. It opens in 2 parts with a small clasp and has a ring for hanging. It dates from the late 19th century. It is a real gem!
It is a very refined small object that can be used as is, as a pill box, or to elegantly adorn a display cabinet or a cabinet of curiosities.
