Elegant traditional Norwegian brooch known as a sølje, made of finely filigreed silver and enhanced with antique gilding. The upper motif is adorned with volutes and beaded rosettes, while a cascade of articulated chains ends in mobile pendants (lauv), a symbol of protection and prosperity in Norwegian wedding tradition.
