A delightful set of six small glazed ceramic spice jars, decorated with a delicate bird motif surrounded by pink flowers, within a medallion framed by a cobalt blue trellis.
Each jar bears the name of a spice: Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Clove, Pepper, Thyme, and Spices.
This type of jar was intended for kitchen shelves and added a decorative and warm touch to interiors.
They are produced by the Ditmar Urbach factory in Bohemia (Czechoslovakia), famous for its high-quality domestic ceramics in the early 20th century. The "Made in Czechoslovakia" mark is present on the underside.
The very lively and delicately colored bird decoration evokes the spirit of old country kitchens and gives this set a charm that is both decorative and nostalgic.
These small jars will look wonderful in a country-style kitchen, on an old pantry shelf, or simply as decorative objects full of poetry.
