A precious little perfume bottle from the mid-19th century, made of cut crystal mounted in vermeil, with its original chain and ring, allowing it to be worn on a belt, a chatelaine, or a bag.
The bottle has a slender, faceted silhouette, while the hinged stopper is richly decorated in relief. The ensemble demonstrates meticulous craftsmanship and high quality of execution.
The mount bears two boar's head hallmarks, guaranteeing gilded silver (vermeil), as well as a silversmith's mark.
Dimensions:
– Bottle height: 5.3 cm
– Width: 1.7 cm
– Total length with chain and ring: 11.5 cm
Total weight: 11.12 g
Condition: very good overall condition. The vermeil mount shows beautiful, well-preserved old gilding, with a natural patina in the reliefs, consistent with the age of the object. To note: three micro-chips at the bottom of the lower angles, only perceptible to the touch and invisible to the naked eye.
A delicate and refined object, emblematic of 19th-century dressing and travel sets, ideal for a collection focused on perfume or antique accessories.
