Beautiful Scandinavian modernist bracelet in sterling silver by Hans Hansen . This famous Danish goldsmith (1884-1940) opened his house in 1906 in Kölding in Denmark, a town renowned for its goldsmithing activity. He made cutlery and turned to jewelry in 1931.
The bracelet offered to you is very refined in the shape of drops decorated on both sides with a geometric black enameled oval pattern. It dates from the period 1930-1939 and well illustrates the modernist style of the 1930s: simplicity, elegance, clean lines and concentration on form and function. Today, it retains all its modernity!
The bracelet bears several hallmarks: Denmark, 925 S, Hans Hansen, 212 E.
This luxurious piece of jewelry is a rare piece of high quality and in excellent condition.
For comparison, the matching pendant (smaller and significantly less heavy) was sold for EUR 361 in 2018 during a jewelry auction at Pierre Bergé in Paris, which certainly reflects the price and value of this magnificent ancient jewel.
