Magnificent Belgian construction game BATIMA in cardboard-stone. This copy dates from the end of the 1920s because it was used by my Dad who was born in 1922. It is the ancestor of the current Legos.
The BATIMA construction game was manufactured in Belgium from 1920 to 1950. It is made up of light bricks which fit together in all directions and are available in 3 colours: beige, terracotta and grey, and in 4 different formats: with 2, 4, 6 or 8 holes.
The box is vintage but not original to the game; it has 197 bricks (a few of which are arched to create an arch and 8 wooden roof/window elements.
