Pretty naive signed painting of the Virgin and Child, modern (vintage) reinterpretation of an ancient icon.
Classified as a “naïve” painter, Luba Simansky (1914-2002) is of Russian origin and lived in many European countries and the Orient. She dedicated herself to painting from 1965 and won numerous awards.
This very pretty unnamed painting, which dates from 1980, represents a Madonna and Child in a naive and colorful style. Its colorful and floral patterns are particularly shimmering and joyful.
